July Recap and August Details

Thanks for joining CCM for the July ride!  365 bikes rode 10 miles to the Cleveland Velodrome.

The next CCM ride is August 31st.  We’ll meet at Public Square at 6:30 PM and depart at 7:00.

The August ride destination is being voted on here.  The destination will be announced the week of the ride.

July 2012 Cleveland Critical Mass: Velodrome Edition

Join us for Cleveland Critical Mass on Friday July 27, 2012. We begin meeting in the southwest quadrant of Public Square at 6:30pm, then leave at 7pm to ride bikes. CCM happens this and every last Friday of the month, regardless of the weather.

This month our critical mass ride will be ending up at the newly completed Cleveland Velodrome located at 5033 Broadway Ave Cleveland, OH 44127 . Just down the street will be the street repair music festival http://facebook.com/StreetRepair. Come on down and enjoy the festivities and our own newly completed velodrome!

Car Free Friday

It is summer and we are all looking for reasons to be on our bikes as much as possible. That is why we are designating Friday, July 27th as CLE Car Free Friday. In celebration there is a full day of activities planed from morning to night.

7am-9am – Join cyclists for a mini-Bike to Work Day Celebration at The Bike Rack (2148 E. 4th St). Local cyclist and underground chef John McGovern will be cooking up his loved breakfast sandwiches using ingredients from Downtown Farmers Market vendors (Peddler Bread, Ohio Farm Direct, and Blaze Gourmet). Rising Star Coffee Roaster will be providing freshly roasted and brewed coffee. Plus you will get to check out the Bike Rack. ALL FOR FREE!

11am-2pm – Check out the Downtown Farmers Market at Public Square to purchase some of the great produce you ate at breakfast. There will be lunch specials for riders and Bike CLE members; free bike tune-ups by The Bike Rack; and bike valet parkign by Ohio City Bike Co-op. Cleveland-area bike organizations, including Bike Cleveland and Crank-set Rides, will be there to catch you up on all the bike-happenings in CLE.

5pm-7pm at Noodlecat – Stop by Noodlecat (234 Euclid Ave) after work for $3.00 Gyoza for riders in addition to regular happy hour specials.

7pm at Public Square – Cleveland Critical Mass
