Bike to the Beach Party!!!

Ride your bicycle to the beach and enjoy a party under the stars! It’s June and Euclid welcomes Cleveland Critical Mass for a third year. Bike Euclid invites you to the Second Annual Bike to the Beach Party, June 26, 2015, at Kenneth J. Sims Park 23131 Lake Shore Blvd. Euclid, Ohio 44123. The ride will end in time to enjoy sunset. Beer and food will be available at the beach and you may also enjoy one of the local restaurants such as The Paragon and Beach Club Bistro. If you decide to pack a picnic, please no glass. There will be a fire to roast marshmallows. Bring a stick because they were in short supply last year. Thank you to Rebecca McFarland, of the Euclid Public Library, who will again be providing S’more fixings.

Camping

So now you’re thinking, sunset and an evening under the stars may not be enough. I want to sleep under the stars. Or perhaps you want to test out your new touring gear. Well, now is your chance. Overnight Primitive Tent Camping on the beach is available only for this special event, $5/camper. Simply bring your gear and register at the Bike Euclid table upon your arrival. Registration will be available before the ride from 4pm-5:30, as well as after the ride. Campers must break camp by noon. And yes, in the morning, the Mayor Bill Cervenik will again be flipping pancakes for breakfast!

Parking

Parking will be available at the park in the grass to the south of the Henn Mansion. We ask that you please do not park in the lot immediately adjacent to the building as this lot is used by those renting the facility. Overnight parking will be available for those registered to camp.

Mini-Mass

Collinwood and Euclid residents have been invited to join in the ride as it passes through their neighborhoods. A local ‘Mini-Mass’ will gather at Cebar’s Euclid Tavern (595 East 185th Street) at 8:00 PM to join the ride as we go by at approximately 8:15 PM. Cleveland Critical Mass will leave downtown Cleveland at 7pm, will be at the intersection of East 185th St & Lakeshore Blvd. no later than 8:30pm, and will arrive at Sims Park in time for sunset. All times are estimates.
